Yasawa Flyer III provides enhanced ferry connections and comfort in the Yasawa Islands, while the sleek MV Yasawa Princess II will join the fleet next year for boutique experiences.
A fresh wave of excitement is rolling through Fiji’s waters as South Sea Cruises Group celebrates the launch of Yasawa Flyer III and looks ahead to the arrival of MV. Yasawa Princess II in 2026. Together, the two vessels signal a bold new chapter for cruising and ferry travel in the Yasawa Islands.
The Yasawa Flyer III is now the largest fast ferry ever to operate in Fiji, purpose-built to connect travellers with one of the country’s most beautiful and remote island chains. Officially unveiled at Port Denarau in Denarau, the vessel carries up to 320 passengers and lifts daily capacity to the Yasawas by 30 percent. Guests can look forward to spacious air-conditioned lounges, expansive outdoor decks, a licensed bar and kiosk, complimentary Wi-Fi, and Fiji’s first full ride-control system for smoother journeys across the open sea.
The vessel reflects a major investment in the Yasawa region, combining passenger comfort with improved fuel efficiency and a modern hull design that reduces both wake and environmental impact.

At the same time, boutique sister brand Blue Lagoon Cruises is preparing to grow its fleet with the MV. Yasawa Princess II, set to launch in April 2026. With just 22 cabins for 44 guests, the 45-metre catamaran will offer the intimate small-ship experience Blue Lagoon is known for. A full refit will see light-filled cabins, a sun deck, elegant dining spaces, and a hydraulic stern platform that makes slipping into the water or boarding tenders effortless.
The addition of a second ship responds to rising demand, with many of Blue Lagoon’s departures sold out months in advance. The new vessel will help open more availability while reinforcing the company’s focus on sustainable tourism in the Yasawa Islands.
With the Yasawa Flyer III already underway and the Yasawa Princess II preparing to join the fleet, South Sea Cruises Group is charting a course that blends innovation, sustainability, and the timeless draw of cruising Fiji’s island paradise.
