CURRENCY/CREDIT CARDS
The Fiji dollar is the basic unit of currency. Notes available in $5, $7, $10, $20, $50 and $100. Coins: 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2.
Typically, credit cards are accepted at hotels, larger retail shops, restaurants, cruises, car rentals and tour operators. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, China UnionPay, Diners Club, JCB International & Discover.
WEATHER
Fiji’s mild tropical climate can be enjoyed all year round. May to October is the dry season. The temperatures are cooler and there is less rainfall and humidity. November to April is the wet season with daytime temps averaging around 25℃, and generally high humidity.
AIRPORTS/SEAPORTS
Air: Two international gateways – Nadi Int. Airport in the Western Division and Nausori Int. Airport, outside Suva. There are several smaller airports.
Sea: Port facilities in Suva, Lautoka, Malau, Levuka, Wairiki and Rotuma.
Fiji’s premier marina facility Port Denarau Marina is located in western Viti Levu.
